Packing Up Memories
only ever tried to encourage you
just to be yourself
not gain these possessions
compete with everybody else
only ever wanted you
to believe in yourself
not spend your lifetime
in awe of everybody else
but you would not listen
to any of the words i had to say
and where once dew so easily glistened
suddenly we turned, to face a sky of grey
we pack our memories,
and face the end of our joint days
