I Needed You

i called you –
because i needed you
i needed your hold
but your voice
and your conversation
told me,
you would decide
exactly when –
i would be allowed inside
and when i needed you more
what i needed,
decided to hide
i learnt a lesson –
that i had tried to ignore
and though it hurt
i just had to let it go
