Do You Remember – Written Monday 13th September 1999 (Aged 24)

Do You Remember

do you remember friend
the girls we met
the twenty first,
the one that is so hard to forget
the nights of chep drink
and so much cheap think
being sick and fighting
learning with tentative steps
it was all so… enlightening
and of course, so much fun
do you remember friend
because our stories could be forever told
on tuesday we were so young
but on wednesdays we always felt old
and by saturday evening….
then we truly felt the cold
but we could live with some pain
because the days went by
and it was soon tuesday again
do you remember friend
i am sure you do
well, here is to all that we shared
and to what got us through
to those days now not seen
and as we sail into the future
our boats with a sail, the wind just a dream
