Not the Friend I Should Have Been
coping is joking
but that does not hide
the scars underneath
and the pain which wears –
the disguise of a nightmare
and is never welcome in your sleep
you really care
but the scars remain underneath
i watched you last night
problems bringing you down
it is just a bad phase
i was not a good friend
not as good as i should have been
i am so scared at the moment
life is feeling like a bad dream
and its haze,
is just a maze i am lost in
last night, i was not there
i was not the friend,
not the friends i should have been
