Like a Wheel
like a wheel
turning around and around
but unlike a wheel,
no place to go
like an unemployed performer
no place to show
what are you going to do
who is there with you
smashing, breaking, taking
stealing what you need
emotional robber of the heart
people metaphorically bleed
like a wheel
wishing that you can go on and on
but your destination does not exist
really, it has gone
James Garratt – 1994
