She Said My Name
she said my name
out of the sky,
descended a dream
could they?
i woke to a new day
she could have come –
from outer space
as my hand glided –
and sculpted her face
where had she come from?
one moment,
a life so empty
then, out of nowhere –
she came
could things ever be the same?
could they?
but then, i do not want them to
i want you,
i need you to care
i need to know, you’ll be there
build us a ship,
so we can fly away
to another time and space
to another day
could things ever be the same?
could they?
but then, i do not want –
to live like that again
but when you experience pain
things are really tough
she may as well have been magic
for the change she caused
then i knew all was not lost
and that happiness and contentment
can be anybody’s host
she said name
