Teenage Culture
i never meant to cause you harm
i do not know why i slept –
with the pinnacle of teenage culture
because now i am hurt
i want to get out
what do you do
when you achieve your objectives
where do you go
and what are you are supposed to know
i want you, but i know –
that you are far away
further away –
than the end of the day
what can i say
i have let myself down
i should have dropped naivety long ago
everything before you is, ‘pre’
and now i am lost
with nowhere to go, i cannot see
everything now, it is all, ‘post’
