Sweetheart – Written Between Tuesday 15th February 1994 and October 1994 (Aged 18/19)

i watch what you are doing
will you not tell me, what is it about
you love them and leave them
just to live in a dream
a real downtrodden sweetheart
breaking hearts, melting dreams
entertaining life and many other things
you came on strong, came on too much
then, when they are so much in love
you say thank you very much
and you do not cry
you pretend you do not remember a thing
it is just a word, so cheap
it is easy to speak
you have got the face of an angel
a body of the ages
but you are a fool,
and you keep your friends in cages
you are a real stone-laced sweetheart
you have got my mind
now you can try and take it apart
but i am almost insane
so you are welcome to take it to bits
because you will never put it back together again
