Honest

i have got to be honest
with myself
i can lie –
to everybody else
till my face turns blue
but with myself
i have got to be true
i can’t keep on faking –
the way i feel
i can’t let you –
keep on believing
in the dream
which is not there
it is not like that
i do not care
but never enough to –
ever feel special
when i think of you
i have used you, i am sorry
but we all make mistakes
it seems, that is how we learn
