Take My Gift
take my gift
and exchange it for yours
i wanted a lift
because i was tired of walking
the road was too long
and i was tired of talking
take my gift
because my gift is what i share
i want yours
i want you to show me that you care
i want you to be there
on equal terms
not just on yours
take my gift
you are a builder of doors
a constructor of strange worlds
but for someone, who lights fires
you can be so cold
nonetheless you have captured my curiosity
take my gift
give me a thick slice of your reality
not your instability
bolster my reality
remove my insanity
and take my gift
