What Happened to Your Softness?
you leave me angry and sad
visually impaired and feeling mad
what happened to your softness
to your footprints in the snow
how quickly affections thaw
and how quickly people go
i was yours till you changed your mind
people say they want to be on their own
till next week and then it is a new find
you say it is not a relationship
but how else do you describe it
you are seeing someone
and you are spending time with them
i was the fabric of your dreams
till reality came and took it all away
till the fantasy fell apart at the seams
i do not want to see you
your true colours disappoint me
just a little honesty that is all i asked
you say that you do respect me
but i feel like that has all passed
remember when i wanted to leave
you kissed me and asked me to stay
now that seems hard to believe
sadly that time has gone away
