The Celebration

i celebrate changes
it is hard not to grow
i cannot remember all the faces
and sometimes, that shows

i celebrate you
i almost try not to love
but then i feel lucky
it was easy to choose

i celebrate life
despite all the strain
the threat of the end
i do enjoy the game

i celebrate now
and i think of the past
but i dream of the future
trying to make sure dreams last
