Cold Comfort – Written Thursday 19th June 2021 (Aged 46)

Cold Comfort

sadness,
does provide cold comfort
and when positives are hard to find
sadness is happy to turn on the taps
and fill up your mind
sadness,
it becomes a place you visit
then a place to stay
as feelings collude to make you feel alone
sadness become home
a home which you never leave

sadness,
anger and regret
fuelled by unspent emotions
so rock the boats
and cause commotions
because they knock on your door
and sell you emotion
but sadness holds you hostage
and it will not leave
it does provide cold comfort
and it parties with anger and rage
how do you find solutions
for such different days
