Should I Remain? – Written February 1995 (Aged 19)

Should I Remain

should i remain here
flirting my life away with you
should i dream of a future together
tell me what to do
should i just act like myself
should i run and hide
be like somebody else
maybe i do not what it is
maybe i cannot explain
but something is there for sure
help me when i feel insane
you give me what i need
help me with the pain
help me heal my wounds when i bleed
and i will live again
to search out a better place
where everything shines
in the summer days
should i be here tomorrow
dry out your red eyes
i will help with the sorrow
life may become a dull surprise
you may become tired of what we do
you may hate people lives
but i will remain here for you
and i will never know why
