When The Stars Let You Go – Written Tuesday 7th September 2021 (Aged 46)

When The Stars Let You Go

i will catch you
when the stars let you go
and the musical director
finally cancels the show
this is haunting
the way we are all so low
this is beautiful
the shine within our eyes
my heart can feel
every breath you make
yet there is no porcelain army
just about ready to breathe
do not bring me your regulators
or your do good starters
bathe my hope in a gold sheen
do not say sorry
we are just the human beings
when i first crept into your head
i was looking for the meaning
to the loving words you said
i was looking all around
and my trauma
almost bought the curtain down
i am the textbook lost and found
