The Great Big Pot

in life’s great big pot
we are looking for security
security that ties like a knot
she has been there
and it never worked out
he has been there
and he can tell us what it is all about
we all want the dream
and for the pages never to yellow
but the steps we take
they could be as solid as anything
or they could crumble like cake
in life’s great big pot
with all the ingredients that we throw in
looking for security
someone to colour in your dreams
well here is the pen
and i offer only one tip
take each day as it comes
and do not get lost inside a wish
