I Dreamt of My Mum Last Night
there is a car crash
and we do not understand
a plane,
comes in to undertake –
an emergency landing
we watch
as it comes in to land
we are shattered –
and we do not know what to say
there is a will
but is there a way?
i dreamt of my mum last night
and unlike before
i did not feel afraid
a life where a high price was paid
i dreamt of my mum last night
she was alive
she was well
but i was a viewer, a narrator –
with the saddest story to tell
but still,
there is comfort
