Another Moment – Written January 2011 (Aged 35)

Another Moment

there is another moment –
that’s just gone past
then here is my hope
and it’s in a plaster cast
standing up to the mic
telling jokes
that’s always the way –
with my hope
and in between the days
when heartache elopes
there is another moment
for us to talk about
in the days which lie ahead
when the laughter comes
and the fires are dead
because i will make a note
of everything that they said
