Should Have Waited

should have waited
should never be underestimated
every day is a bonus
i told you that everyday
that is all it is, a bonus
and it should be lived accordingly
it is not a pre-set convention
it is not a heartfelt injection

should have waited
should have waited to look around
take my time and find my feet
take a break, take a seat
believed in myself
you can try and think
that all this is fated
all i know now is that in hindsight –
should have waited
