Memory Bag
why did –
i choose to pack my memory bag
and head back –
over my life,
why did i feel that was such a good idea
my goodness,
in retrospect it is far less clear
something about the choices
i chose to wear
something about who i pulled over here
and who i left over there
did i ever truly have the capacity to share?
