accepting who you are
and what you are –
is often the hardest thing in life
finding out who you are
and what you are
is often the hardest thing in life
a path,
as crazy as the stones in it
a path,
as dark as a country night
if you are wary –
then it can be blessed with light
if you have known who you are
or if you have never had the courage to look
you will always be one of life’s ifs
wonder about the contents of your book
never truly understanding or exploring your gifts
forced to rely on half baked ideas
ideas that have never risen to soak up the tears
and flowing on the wind are the empty years
accepting who you are
and what you are
it takes a soldier’s courage and a mother’s hope
finding out who you are
and what you are –
is often the hardest thing in life

So true James. Discovering yourself is one of the hardest and yet most essential thing we must do…so nicely penned 👌💟
