i know, one day –
mine will pass away
and beyond the confusion,
the not knowing
there will be gaps
i felt for you,
i felt love and protection
as voices cracked
and emotions leaked
sometimes the sound of shared silence
says it all underneath
i did not know what to say
just hold tight
until grief starts to stray
