i mean my friends and i
they asked about you
and we discussed the things –
that you had said
we talked about last night
and by you,
i mean you who set the sail
who cast off into unchartered waters
for whom there is a capital f in fail
we talked about you last night
and by me,
i mean the me who took each hit
who watched helplessly in the layby
as you drove through every tantrum and fit
we talked about you last night
