It Is Hard Not to Let Go
it is hard not to let go
when those feelings –
pull upon your reigns
missing someone –
it just drives you insane
it is hard not to let go
and hard –
not to be swept away
every message sent
and every word you say
it is hard not to let go
scream it aloud
greet strangers
and tell those in crowds
it pulls you here
and then, it pulls you there
try to keep your cool
and everything under control
it is hard not to let go
when someone –
has you in their hold
i think you know
when someone has rescued your soul
