Multi-Sided Shape

i have been down
i have been out
i have,
discovered new sounds
i was homeless
i was active
i had a chance
just before i fell
i have seen something
that i never mention
these years stack up
with some retention
i have been excited
and i have been driven
i have been a hero
and the one always leaving
i have been alone
in crowds where it is heaving
i have played at peace
and been left seething
i have been a figure of fun
an object of hate
so many different people
a multi-sided shape
