Touched By Them

jane austen can write my heart
revolutionary reading
can make a complete start
john lennon could write my words
on a protest march
and buddy holly can show me
how sometimes,
it is far too early to depart
we were touched by them
as we grow and we begin to dream
we are figuring out all those mysteries
that could make us scream
