Out Of This Low Place

small steps
one day at a time
times to look after me
emotionally
stop this self abuse
look after what matters
but…
very small steps
i will never understand
i will never know
i guess i have to let you go
rebuild and then grow
i know i love you
in a completely
unconditionally way
i do not think you truly know
but i know it is not an answer
small steps
one day at a time
out of this low place
i must surely climb
