The Greatest Challenge
the greatest challenge –
and disability –
is your parents
and how they moulded you
told you
and tried to ready you for the world
feel bold
and not so scared –
to use buses or taxis
or transport of any kind
because when i asked about getting the train
understanding was hard to find
the greatest challenge
and disability –
is your parents
is it such a surprise –
that they overfed you
with all their insecurity and lies
is it such a surprise –
that they did not help you
or ready you for a world –
that easily sets fire to your self esteem
and happily pushes your self esteem down the stairs
that is your greatest challenge
the one that challenges your very being
