Grid of Letters
do your best
keep up the values
the ones –
they bottled you in
do not think –
about the addiction
remember –
the word puzzles
where you had –
a grid of letters
they said –
do your best
but i know that –
i could have done better
let’s be honest
badges earned –
whilst at cubs
are no preparation –
for a life –
where the cub grows up
burying sitcom actors
in a childhood
tainted by lead and memory
that always creates
a certain uncertainty
