Purely Elective
so far from home
but home –
left me for somewhere else
i remember –
how it used to be
now i look back on our words
and how you used to lean on me
so far from twenty five
days of snow
and feeling barely alive
falling in love
and shared flats
all becoming never quite enough
but still,
you are my best friend
and you have all my love
we were bonded
over the rod of strange experiences
we were chained –
to semi detached small town
so far from home
but then home,
has always being objective
and apathy and dreams
are purely elective
