More Relevant Tools
after so may years
of banging –
my head against –
emotionally avoidant walls
after so many years
of setting out my stall
maybe now,
i start to see less damage
oh, it is true –
my head is full of a busy mess
that continues to intrude
and i have leant that happiness
like contentment, is just an interlude
but one to be enjoyed nonetheless
after so many years
of banging –
my head against –
emotionally avoidant walls
trying to cleanse myself
in emotionally avoidant waterfalls
maybe now,
the heat has started to cool
and i am better equipped
with more relevant tools
