What Does Home Mean?
home – what does it mean?
addresses,
i have had many
hosts,
i have had plenty
but all those father figures
turned out to be empty
all that moving about
when i was younger than this
stolen days found on a knife edge
and moments we eagerly kissed
addresses,
i have a heady list
pulling out postcodes from a hat
moving in, moving out
and then – moving back
home – what does it mean?
addresses,
all of them knew of my dreams
and they all knew of my feelings
all of them
yet, so many many buildings
and me, somehow leaving and moving
