Suddenly I See – Written Thursday 1st February 2001 (Aged 25)

Suddenly I See

suddenly i see,
a sea of voices
which encase me like a blanket
suddenly i see,
a hilltop of furrowed brows
it peers at me,
from beyond true understanding
suddenly i see,
a small child in a playground
treading water in a jealous sea
and the child,
turns to me in my minds eye
i look and i realise,
they are me
suddenly i see,
a wave of twisty arms
they are calling me on,
like those in the night
who no longer belong
suddenly i see
