What Became of the Boy?
feels muggy today
i pull open the window blinds
and i think,
what became of the boy?
the one with glasses
and a big box full of toys
perhaps today,
will be stronger than yesterday
maybe this year,
will be more clear
i wish i had some dials
some way,
to navigate all the trials
what became of the boy
that blinked blindly at the sun
who stumbled dazed and confused
and ripped up being young
but in the end, in the end,
just got used
i pull up the window blinds
feels muggy today
a dull rumbling against the heat
time dragging us on,
getting older,
it’s always the search for your feet
