How It Used To Be – Written Tuesday 10th July 2001 (Aged 26)

How It Used TO Be

the old days,
like the old ways
that dose of nostalgia
memory is the syringe
on it,
we freely binge
the old us,
how we used to be
in those days
when we never realised –
we were free
growing is hard,
for you and others
the old days,
running around
making impressions
now all that has changed
lifting the depression
the old days,
you remember
how it used to be

James Garratt – Tuesday 9th July 2001
