It Isn’t Easy
it isn’t easy but then it never is
it certainly isn’t a cup of tea
sweetly sweetened just for company
it isn’t easy
it’s about losing out then finding out
because parents,
are just statuettes on my mantlepiece
they are my only mental feat
it isn’t easy but then it never is
it’s lukewarm then it is too hot
and someone told me,
it’s about appreciating what you’ve got
not selling the antiques
not keeping the cheap and cheerful pot
it isn’t easy but then it never is
and not matter how much i grow
no matter how i learn
there is still so much i just don’t know
still so much i just don’t understand
