Did You Close The Door
did you close the door when you left
i know it was in the past
but since you left,
i can feel a draft
and it follows me from room to room
i can tell you,
its in my bones
and it affects me the most
when i spend time on my own
that is why i was wondering –
if you’d closed the door when you left
i can tell you
nothing takes away the chill
and i cannot help the way i feel
i know how much we used to laugh
but this seems to be real
there has been such a draft since you left
that is why i ask,
did you close the door when you left
