Something That We Can Both Touch
the future is just in front of us
that elusive horizon
almost at our touch
all the baggage that i’ve carried around
from demented relationships
to seaside town,
all the memories i hold dear
misty eyed i used to be
but now, it’s all becoming clear
the future is just in front of us
real at last,
the scope of our dreams widens
as we consign the past to the dustbin
and that elusive horizon
becomes at real at last
swimming together and with the current
now i just need to set some goals
instead of hanging around here
because the future is just in front of us
just within our grasp,
something that we can both touch
