There Are False Friends – Written Saturday 29th August 2009 (Aged 34)

There Are False Friends

The sadness is that when i look around
so many of those –
on which i have come to depend
lack a definition –
of what is means to be a friend
they have taken me for a ride
with no actual love to share or to lend
they have torn out my inside
the joy is that i do have people –
who really care for me and love me
whose very existence
let’s happiness be free
i need to see those people
not the false friends who cause harm for me
