She Taught Me To Read – Written Monday 19th April 2010 (Aged 35)

She Taught Me To Read

she taught me to read
she taught me what it means
she taught me to read
head propped up by pillows
i could believe,
reading wind in the willows
swapping lines,
swapping pages
those were the days
where did it go wrong
and all that pain come along
he had it all,
what went wrong
for him, when did he lose track

James Garratt – Monday 19th April 2010
