Asphalt and Gravel
step off my case
your disorders,
do not fit my taste
i know,
i am not your right
but that kind of, ‘right’ –
could never work for me
i prowled that estate
and i swam in that sea
asphalt and gravel
under bare feet i travelled
i am not loved any less
just because you have a checkbox
and a deadly caress
take your surveys
and survey the life you live
have you made the most –
of my gifts
can any of us truly say –
we have made it
and found the perfect way
