Poet
it is the term, ‘poet’,
i have the problem with
it sounds like,
them and us,
i would rather fight for individualism
and, ‘poet’, smacks,
somewhat, of elitism
a separation from the, ‘norm’
i am what i am
and have been since i was born
and they know it,
they did not name me,
‘the poet’,
i accept it as a term
rather like, ‘bricklayer’,
‘tea lady’, and, ‘accountant’
but snobbery is plainly apparent
it is the idea,
that somehow,
it makes you better
stringing together words from letters
