This Twilight – Written Monday 24th May 2010 (Aged 35)

This Twilight

mow he gets older
i see illness beckon
or something to that effect
i reach a stage,
where i take a deep breath
i know,
they will never have to deal,
with that i will have to do
could they face it?
now he gets older
and i listen,
i know,
his memory is starting to go
and his body,
has become slow
it’s funny how this enforced twilight
has left me strapped,
i am pushed back and ego bound
care has a sharp,
and distinct sound
now he gets older
