Self Made Myth
the ups and downs in life
can be seen as failure
perhaps when you build a castle
you may be king and queen
but perhaps,
you will end up,
accepting the world as it is
i never thought,
that this was a straight road
planning may have been helpful
but i am happy to follow where it goes
there is little regret,
other than those who have been hurt
some people though,
quite clearly need to believe,
in their self made myth
lacking in confidence to go it alone
by that, i mean find an identity
one which is their own
