Waiting For Admission – Written Monday 17th May 2010 (Aged 35)

Waiting For Admission

how much medieval architecture
does it take to impress a soul
how many coliseums
does it take to take you by the hand
slow down,
slow down the visions
they are hard on the goals
left, as we are,
like little foals
how many hands does it take –
to make darker things seem light
how many thoughts does it take
before our senses –
are bombed into submission
how much should we pay
waiting here, waiting here for admission

James Garratt – Monday 17th May 2010
