Honesty
give me some honesty
even if –
the absolute truth in me –
remains elusive
i saw the sadness in their words
the idea that we could be exclusive
was left shattered
it is only natural –
to feel as if –
we are the only ones that matter
what do people want?
what do they think exists?
my life is many strands
many many places
and many different versions of me
with so many faces
i guess within ourselves
we should search for honesty
