A Moment Of Madness
well that felt just like the old days
empty and broken
leaving me in a maze
and i know,
that was a chance come and gone
very much like a dimly lit sun
that was a situation,
that broke the ice after all these months
but what has it achieved
nothing that i really need
it’s just one more person to fill up my past
one that knows me by name
but not as i am
well that took me back
and it is true, it’s what i wanted
or so i thought…
well i got it with some ease
and emptiness is easily bought
as i found out in the glow of the night light
of an urban high street
the type that clashes with people in thought
it’s just me and her,
and now i know how emptiness is bought
