This Feels Challenging

this feels challenging
not sure some people –
ever understand the hurt they cause
maybe that is the lesson –
that trauma has taught
the ball of poison personality has caught
the rusty nail –
emotional deregulation has taught
the bomb, poor intelligence has bought
the pain –
low self esteem has readily sought
the fight for calm –
that continues to be fought
this feels challenging
we bend over backwards –
so we can play on a level playing field
but when we are handing out values
it does not matter how some of us feel
and i am not sure –
if being so laid low and hurt –
is a mirror reflection of something gone wrong
that need for fairness –
this feels so challenging
