Falseness of Approval

i am the person
where,
my best is often –
not enough
or it is not correct
the type –
that will not set
that is why,
i try my best
but mine –
is too often –
not enough or not quite right
cannot win this fight
cannot turn on the light
i am a slave –
to the falseness of approval
the self esteem too often –
the victim of savage removal
i am the person
where,
my best is often –
not quite needed
or not quite right
or not the type that works
and it’s that which really hurt
