Acceptance – Written Friday 14th December 2007 (Aged 32)

Acceptance

why can’t you accept people –
for who they are?
is it –
because you do no accept yourself?
is it because you’ve being told –
that you should be somebody else
or have i simplified the issues
should i look for tears
and should i fetch the tissues
why can’t you accept people –
for who they are?
are you afraid of looking deeper –
and seeing how you are made
what happened to cause such damage
why do basic skills –
cause such hostile panic
why must there be an excuse –
or some extreme reason
why can’t we all be different shades –
and many different seasons?
why must we all be set in stone
is it because inside,
you are afraid and scared of being alone
